About This App
  1. What is Sewing Street?

    Here at Sewing Street, we are dedicated to all things sewing. Our experts have a wealth of knowledge, which they demonstrate as they take you through the steps of making the projects we feature with fabulous tips along the way. Whether you’re new to sewing or a seasoned pro, you are sure to learn something you didn’t know.

  2. What can I do in this app?

    Our app allows you to view the fantastic Sewing Street channel. You can browse (and purchase!) all of the items in detail as well as our Early Bird Deal, Best Sellers and our Show Deals. You can also send a message in to our studio.

  3. How do I use this app?

    After the app loads, you are presented with the Live Show page. From here you can use the bottom tab bar to select a channel or view different products. To access the many other features of the Sewing Street app, press the Menu button menu button in the top left corner of the screen. App settings can be accessed via the Settings button within the menu.

  4. Can I use ChromeCast or AirPlay?

    If you have access to a Google Chromecast or Apple Airplay compatible device, you can display our live channel on your device by pressing either the Cast icon Android Cast (Android) or the Airplay icon Apple Airplay (iOS) in the video player control bar and following the on screen instructions.

  5. How can I see more items for sale?

    Press the menu button menu button and select Live Show. Press the Today’s Products button products button to see any deals that have just been on air along with pre-order items and items that are similar to the item which is currently on air. To see our full range, press the Menu button and select “View More Products" to view all of our products.

  6. How do I see all of today’s products?

    Use the Menu button menu button to access the Live Show section. Press the Today’s Products button products button the bottom tab bar to see all of our products for the day.

My Account
  1. Why do I need to log in?

    You can watch our live channels, browse the Show Deals section without logging in. If you want to purchase items, or send a message to the studio, you will need to log in to your Sewing Street account or create one. All of this can be done from within this app. As Sewing Street is part of JewelleryMaker, if you already have an account with JewelleryMaker or HobbyMaker, the same login details will work for Sewing Street - you do not need to create another account.

  2. How do I create an account?

    When you try to perform an action which requires you to be logged in, you will be prompted with a login screen like the one above. If you don’t have an account, and have never ordered from Sewing Street before, tap on “Not got an account? Register”. You will be taken through a couple of simple forms to set your account up. If you have ordered from us before, but have never created an account, select “Ordered with us previously? Click here”. You will need order details from a fairly recent order to link your previous purchase(s) with your online account.

Live Shows
  1. How do I buy an item?

    Use the Menu button menu button to access the Live Show section. Simply press “Add to Basket” to bid on the currently listed item. If there are different sizes or variations available, you will be prompted to make a selection. The item will then be added to your basket. If the price drops during the show, don’t panic, everybody will pay the final, lowest price. To make sure you get your item check out your order as soon as possible to ensure you don’t miss out.

    You can checkout by pressing the Basket button basket icons to check your basket contents before going to checkout.

  2. How can I see better pictures of products?

    Simply press on any of our product images to see a full screen gallery of all of the images we have available for a particular product. You can get back to your previous screen by pressing the X at the top of the screen.

  3. How do I see all of today’s products?

    Use the Menu button menu button to access the Live Show section. Press the Today’s Products button on the bottom tab bar to see all of our products for the day.

  4. How do I view live channels in full screen mode?

    If you rotate your device whilst watching live show, the app will toggle between portrait and landscape mode. You can now access all functions of the app from landscape mode by pressing the floating menu button in the top right of the screen. Additionally, you can view live channels without any distractions by pressing the full screen toggle button toggle full screen in the video player control bar.

Changing Settings
  1. How do I change the currency or delivery country?

    Use the Menu button menu button to access app settings. Use the dropdown menus to select the desired currency and delivery country.

  2. How do I reduce the amount of data the app uses?

    To reduce your mobile data usage, you can switch off the video feed via the Settings button from the menu. Untick the “Enable Video” box to switch off the video feed. You can re-enable it by pressing the same box again.

Troubleshooting
  1. How do I report a problem?

    If you encounter an issue with the Sewing Street app, the best way to get help is by pressing “Contact App Support” from the Settings menu. This will create an email for you to describe the issue you are having. It will also give our Support team all of the information they need to quickly resolve the issue. To see what information is being sent, scroll to the bottom of the automatically generated email.
