Find out more about this product

Amber Makes Sewing Block of the Month is a series of twelve panels all featuring different sewing related items and using a variety of techniques so you can create and learn as you go. Collect and make them all to piece into a beautiful quilt when they’re finished. Each panel includes all the fabric needed to make the Block, an illustrated version of the block, and a bonus mini project too!

A good cup of tea is an essential part of many stitchers sewing time so we’re celebrating that with this month’s Block. But First Tea is made using the piecing method where fabrics are cut into exact sized pieces then sewn together in Sections. These Sections are then sewn together with the 3-D handles to make the finished design. The fabric panel also includes an illustrated version of But First Tea in the same size as the pieced block that you’re going to make. You can use this for other projects or in your quilt. On the panel you’ll find enough fabric to make the But First Tea Block including the 3-D handles, the illustrated version and all the pieces to make four teacup coasters. The instructions show you exactly how to make these including a matching tea cosy to keep the pot warm whilst you sew.

The instructions include the password to join the members only Amber Makes Sewing Block of the Month Facebookgroup where you can download a free set of instructions to create your very own Quilt Block Keeper for storing your finished blocks.
