The Pfaff-Stretch Needle is closer to the hook thanks to a special flat shank, which makes it easier for the hook to pick up the thread loop. Together with the special scarf, these features prevent skipped stitches, even when working with highly elastic fabrics.

The shank of the Pfaff-Stretch Needle is less flattened than that of the Stretch Needle, but more flattened than that of the Universal Needle. As a result, the Pfaff-Stretch Needle is closer to the hook than the Universal Needle, but less close than the Stretch Needle.

The medium ball point is suitable for all types of knitted fabric, because it displaces the loops, thus preventing damage to the material.

The Pfaff-Stretch Needle with a flat shank was originally developed for Pfaff household sewing machines. However, it not only fits in Pfaff sewing machines, but can also be used in all common household sewing machines, regardless of the brand.
