This full colour instructions booklet contains all the information you need to make the colourful Falling Leaves Quilt. Catch a falling leaf using Charm Squares and plain fabric, featuring the classic Maple Leaf Block set within a single Irish chain. The leaves tumble down the quilt inside the chains and it’s easy to piece with simple quilting too. It’s ideal for a memory quilt too as it uses small fabric pieces for the Maple Leaf Blocks which are then framed by the Irish Chain. You’ll find details in the instructions of how to watch a FULL VIDEO TUTORIAL showing how to make the quilt.

It’s easy to piece, without the need for templates and uses simple quilting too. We’ve used a calico background fabric for an autumnal rustic feel and plain salmon and paprika cotton fabrics for the Irish Chain and Binding. They’re matched with floral charm squares from the Amber Makes The Flower Shop Block of the Month Charm Square panels (October and November) but the design is very adaptable to showcase your favourite fabrics. It would be ideal for a memory quilt as you can use small squares of fabrics that remind you of a special person, day or occasion which are then pieced together to make each Maple Leaf.

The instructions walk you through exactly how to make the quilt with step-by-step full colour photos too. The FULL VIDEO TUTORIAL also shows how to finish and bind the quilt too.

·      Charm Packs of 5x5in squares – we used 53 Charm Squares 

·      Light coloured fabric for Chain Blocks: 29x44in (50x112cm)

·      Dark coloured fabric for Chain Blocks: 38x44in (100x112cm)

·      Background fabric

If you are using 44in width fabric: 157x44in (400x112cm)

If you are using 60in width fabric: 118x44in (300x112cm)

We have used calico in our quilt which is 60in width, but you can use standard 44in width fabric if you prefer as quantities for both are listed
